Description

Students in the age group of 13 to 20 years studying in classes 8 to 12 this year can apply for the program which has been running since 2014 to identify and promote the talent of school-level students. Considering the level of learning of the students, the National Astronomy Olympiad is being organized from 2019 in two categories, junior and senior. Under which students of class 8-10 can apply for junior and students of class 11-12 can apply for senior.

The first stage (selection exam) of the Olympiad will be organized as the provincial stage on January 27, 2024 AD (Magh 13, 2080 BS) Saturday from 12 noon to 2 am in Itahari, Janakpur, Kathmandu, Pokhara, Butwal, Surkhet and Dhangadhi. Interested students can submit the application form to our coordinator of the respective province.

Based on the performance at the provincial level, the students of the respective provinces will be included in the second phase (national phase). In this way, the students who perform best in the second stage will be allowed to participate in the third and final stage. Through the third round of evaluation, participating students will be recommended for the International Astronomy and Astrophysics Olympiads to be held in 2024
