Mission Statement:
The 10th National Astronomy Olympiad will be held in two categories junior and senior respectively. The three stages national competition will create a national merit list based on which students will be selected for the representation of Nepal at IOAA2023 in Poland and IOAAjr2023 in Greece this year.Description
National Astronomy Olympiad (NAO) is an early stage talent hunt program for the school students in Nepal. It’s an annual program for junior (class 8-10) and senior (class 11-12) students in Nepal providing an opportunity to learn communication, collaboration, critical thinking and critical writing to for their personal growth to support their academic career in STEAM field in future. The program has three stages namely the provincial round (entrance exam), national round and final round respectively which will be held between January -July of each year. The final round creates the national merit list for both junior and senior categories for the different regional and international astronomy Olympiads held each year.

9th NAO20227th May 2022
The 9th National Astronomy Olympiad 2022 will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2022. Extended application deadline is May 5, 2022. Students from class 8-10 (including SEE appeared in 2022) can apply for junior category and class 11-12 can apply for senior category respectively.
